Jennifer Blakeley, MA, LPC, NCC
Jennifer works with adults and adolescents (13 and up), and has worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor within various environments for the past 10 years.
Treatment Philosophy and Focus
Jennifer utilizes an eclectic approach to treatment based on the belief that each individual is unique and deserving of treatment that meets their specific needs and learning style. She believes in addressing each obstacle with a strength-based approach. Jennifer’s primary focus is empowering individuals to find their truth and walk with them through their healing journey.
Education and Experience
Jennifer received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Corporate Wellness from Grand Valley State University in 1996 and her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling in 2009 from Siena Heights University. With degrees that address both physical and mental health concerns, Jennifer demonstrates a holistic treatment approach as she feels that it is best suited in treating the individual as a whole.
Jennifer has significant experience working within a wide range of populations having worked in residential, home-based, and Community Mental Health settings. She also spent two years working in Alaska with the Alaska Native population addressing mental health and substance use concerns both in the clinic and village settings. She has worked with clients who present with the following concerns:
