Margaret Spencer Pirrotta, LMSW
Margaret treats ages 14 and up–teens, adults, individuals, and couples.
Treatment Philosophy and Focus
Margaret’s philosophy is a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). It is a philosophy of individuals learning they can change their negative beliefs to positive affirmations, as individuals are strong and resourceful. The focus is on the individual, couple, or family to see their strengths and work on changing negative patterns of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. These can interfere with functioning and coping even if life situations do not change.
