Alice has been a therapist for over 40 years and has experience providing services for individuals, couples, and families. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Treatment Philosophy & Focus
Alice believes that psychotherapy creates a unique experience in safe and confidential exploration and that it can be useful in many different life stages. She works with clients who are experiencing mental health crisis as well as clients who are wanting to build a life of enhanced functioning and self empowerment.
Alice will work with you to build an intervention that leads to your particular goals in a timely and efficient manner. She believes that understanding your personal family style could help to identify where troublesome problems may have started and how you may want to choose your own path forward.
Education & Experience
Alice graduated from Duke University with a BA in the study of religion and music history. She graduated with an MSW from the University of Connecticut. She is EMDR trained in 2013 and also trained in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy in 1989.
Alice has worked over thirty years in behavioral health care, both in medical and psychiatric settings as well as in outpatient psychotherapy settings. She is experienced in providing services for individuals, couples, and families. She works with individuals 18 to 100. She utilizes both traditional and innovative modes that are research validated. She offers EMDR intervention for both trauma resolution as well as for a variety of mood disorders and medical treatment stress issues.
