Tiyanna provides therapeutic services to adolescents, adults, and families, specializing in at-risk juveniles and their families. Tiya was nominated by her peers and received a prestigious award for her service at the Veterans Administration on August 24, 2017.  Tiya was honored with the “Woman of the Year for Veterans Advocacy” award representing 22 counties out of the Battle Creek area. She was given the award by the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Battle Creek VA Medical Center.

Treatment Philosophy & Focus

Tiyanna’s passion is to help individuals and families reach their desired goals in life utilizing trauma informed care and cognitive and rational behavioral therapy. Tiyanna believes every person should be allowed to be their best self, and they can achieve this through self-autonomy in all aspects of their lives.

Education & Experience

Tiyanna received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and graduate degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. Tiyanna has worked with at-risk juveniles and their families for over 10 years.

Specializations

Tiyanna specializes in treating grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, and stress management. She is also experienced with custody issues, families with incarcerated parents, and court-involved patients.
