Kelly is a Licensed Master of Social Worker and sees adolescents and adults (ages 12 and up).  She works with a variety of people including those who deal with addictions and trauma.

Treatment Philosophy & Focus

Kelly’s approach is integrative, psychodynamic, and unique, based on your individual needs. Kelly can help you recognize feelings, thoughts, and emotions that may keep you from meeting your potential as well as help you identify your resilience and inspiration. She enjoys working with individuals who have experienced trauma or who are worried that something is “not quite right.” Kelly appreciates her client’s individuality and assists them in discovering their inner wisdom, knowing that change comes from within. Kelly strongly believes that the therapeutic relationship is a collaboration. Kelly is trauma-informed and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Kelly works with ages 12 and up.

Education & Experience

Kelly received her BA in Psychology at Michigan State University before moving to Nashville, Tennessee for employment at a non-profit in the field of equine therapy. Upon returning to Michigan, she completed her Master of Social Work in 2014 with a Graduate Specialization on Animal Studies. In 2017, she completed her Master of Art in Sociology as well as a Graduate Specialization in Women and Gender Studies at Michigan State University. Kelly has experience working with individuals, couples, and families presenting with a variety of needs. While in graduate school, Kelly worked as a clinical interviewer for research related to addiction in family systems.
