Catherine is a Licensed Professional Counselor works with ages 18 and older.  She sees a variety of clients including those dealing with trauma and substance abuse.

Treatment Philosophy & Focus

Catherine enjoys making meaningful connections with her patients and is eternally inspired by their incredible courage. She takes pride in treating her patients with respect, empathy, and unconditional positive regard while fostering their personal growth. Catherine practices Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing strategies from a strengths-based and person-centered perspective. She has specialized training in evidenced-based trauma treatment modalities including, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting. Catherine works with ages 18 and up.

Education & Experience

Catherine earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Family Studies from Central Michigan University and a Masters in Counseling from Michigan State University. Catherine has been practicing substance use disorder and mental health therapy since 2011. She has also spent time as a Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director overseeing approximately 15 therapists. In these roles, she promoted best therapy practices and implemented quality assurance improvements that led to improved treatment approaches, better trained clinicians, and more satisfied patients. Additionally, Catherine is an Approved Clinical Supervisor who works with recent grads who are pursuing their full counselor licensure.
