Creating an atmosphere of acceptance and safety, Jackie strives to empower clients to find balance with self-compassion and connection to mind, body and soul. Jackie interweaves a holistic and humanistic approach with mindfulness and somatic therapy strategies.

Education & Experience

Jackie enjoyed a Social Work internship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation assisting in granting children & families wishes and First Step of Michigan volunteer work at Michigan’s first domestic violence shelter while completing undergraduate work towards a Bachelor of Science Degree, double majoring in psychology & sociology at the University of Michigan Dearborn. While completing a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology from Madonna University, selected to provide outpatient therapy at the University of Michigan Dearborn completing a one-year practicum treating incoming freshman to graduates, exploring career options & paths to stress management, and life challenges.

Jackie worked with Monroe County’s Community Mental Health Authority for over ten years implementing various therapeutic holistic and evidence-based techniques to create individualized and unique person-centered therapy. Beginning in Supports Coordination Clinical Case Management & after-hours emergency services providing safety plans & prescreens for ER & inpatient psychiatric hospitalizations, represented the county as the Hospital & Court Liaison for three years, supervised the State of Michigan grant to explore, coordinate and implement mental health services within the local jail while also very successfully developing the county’s first mental health court Feb 2016 – Nov 2017. Jackie reviewed annual reassessments through clinical Utilization Management Review UM/UR before accepting the Outpatient Therapist position providing individual and group therapy with a focus on integrated health.
