Kevin Schultz , LMSW

Wellness matters. Wellness first.

Kevin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over nine years of experience in the field. He provides counseling services to adolescents, adults, couples, and families to support them through difficult times and gain the strength they need to be happy, healthy, and successful.

Treatment Philosophy & Focus

Kevin believes that everyone has within them the qualities they need to be successful. As a therapist, he collaborates with his clients to help them realize their own abilities and develop the tools they need to use them. Whether you want to manage mental illness or addiction, work through difficulties in your relationships, heal from pain and trauma in your past, or just figure out how to live your best life, Kevin will be there for you on the journey. Through a collaborative process that focuses on self-acceptance and integrates understanding of your identity, beliefs, surroundings, and background, he will help you develop the skills you need to overcome the struggles you face, and the resilience to make these positive changes stick.

Education & Experience

Kevin graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, followed by a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Michigan. After completing an internship in addiction and co-occurring mental health treatment he was hired as a substance abuse counselor providing group and individual therapy for adults. He has extensive training and experience in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and integrates these evidence-based practices with several others including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Psychodynamic techniques.
